We are mapping the gourd. Good Magician Humphrey has given us a device that auto-maps each "room" of the gourd we travel though. To join, leave a note with yourself in peril. We'll attempt to save you. If we do, you are a part of the party.
I am the official judge type person. Any questions to me should be thrown in arrow brackets(><>>) It will be answered as such. Good luck and may Xanth win his latest bet!

Tek was surprised to get a summons from the GM. Normally you go to see him. He looked into the Mirror and focused. Slowly the GM's face appeared. "Ah, Tek. Good to see you. I have an bleepignment for you. Come to my castle. There's a Free Answer Coupon in it for you upon completion." He faded away. Tek picked up his Synonym Stick and set Blog, his pet Web Crawler and best friend on his shoulder and headed out the door.

| Tek headed south west. Port Orange was a small sea side town north of the Isle of Illusions, though it was on the mainland. He had traveled along this magical path many times before. His mother and father had often sent him along this way. His father, Band, had a minor Talent of information. Not as varied as the GM's, but enough to make him famous in the area as the guy to go to for advice. His mother, Wyth, could take information and wrap it up, forming a packet that one could eat to learn. The COM family adored these packets and Tek had spent a lot of his youth traveling through the perils of Xanth, across the Gap Chasm, and to COM Pewter's cave. He was real careful, because if he dropped a packet, everyone would know and he would get looked at till he ran home in shame. He had a small skill in making these packets, although his mother's packets were bigger and could hold more information. He had to deal in small thoughts.
He cleared the bend and his head and picked up the pace. The Good Magician had been king several times and should not be kept waiting.

| As such, on the Isle of Cats, A young girl with black hair, green eyes, and a tail is munching on an apple when she gets a call. She looks at the mirror. Writing appears on it:
Clara,
I am recruiting you to map the gourd for me. Two others will be there as well. They need the help of a Sorceress on their side. go to the nearest hypnogourd at midnight. You will meet them.
So Clara sneaks out at midnight, turned into an invisible cat, and ran towards the nearest gourd. She turned back to her natural form, peeks in the peephole, and looks around in the gourd.
She saw two young men, evidently the others. "Hi," I said. "You must be the two I was supposed to meet to map the gourd. I'm Clara, the Sorceress of cats. Who are you?

| After a few days, Tek arrived at the Good Magician's castle. He looked across the moat at the great stone building. The sun glitter off the many windows. The waters in the moat glistened innocently. The grass must have slept well, because it wasn't very crabby.
Tek looked around. He frowned. There wasn't a draw bridge to be seen anywhere. He looked at Blog. The Web crawler perked its audio ports ant him. "Find me anything that has been placed here since the last challenge. Also, search for any way to cross the bridge. Go." The spider-like creature took off.

Rosario is learning from Magician Humfrey, and his talent is growing the right rose at the right time. Although his talent can be a little haywire, as it can work ahead, and have to go back and catch up.>
Rosario smiled as he walked through the castle, shuffling through piles of papers and books. He was one of the few allowed in the Good Magician's study...
But he didn't like being there when the Magician was in a grump.
Alas, the stocky, twentyfour year old man was in a deep conversation with Humfrey.
"But sir, if the Gourd is changed every time by the Night Stallion, isn't it impossible to map?" he asked.
Humfrey grunted.
"That's exactly why I need this done." he said, without looking up from his tome.
"Now move along, and grab a Gourd. The others will be here shortly to help you."
Now Rosario was slightly irritated.
His talent was to grow the right rose for any given moment...It wasn't his fault the talent was so awkward.
"But sir, isn't this something I could do alone?" he asked.
Humfrey grumped, and turned an eye so baleful on him that Rosario was sure a basilisk would have keeled over.
"Yes, sir." Rosario nodded, and went to greet whoever was coming.

i have learned while serving as the castle guard for xanth's fortresses that when bleepigned t a mission, it is best not to ask questions. ESPECIALLY when it comes to GM Humphrey.
From what i hear, he has more in mind for us than what we know of. So i wouldn't be surprised if we end up taking on more trouble then its worth.

| Rosario glared at her, and almost snapped. "I know!" he said. "I've been learning from the Good Magician for what, five years now?" he said, looking more like Humfrey in his ire.
"Look, I know exactly what's going on, okay?" he said, snapping his fingers to make a rosewood board grow out of the floor.
He grabbed it, pulled out a small knife, and started whittling. It was something to do until the querent approached.
