I like the first three, together, the best probably. I also really enjoyed Cewel Lye, his talent was really nice and allowed for some gooood adventures. I read the first 28 books one right after another, in about a year and a half or so I think. Reading the Authors notes that close together was cool. At first Piers was saying how he didnt want all the mail and suggestions, then he used them, then he didnt really want them again.. I think the first few books are best, and after that more and more puns come. I'm not a big fan of puns, but I like talents and the magic a lot. I wish another book would come out without any reader suggestions. to mix things up a bit, and lessen the puns for, a breather..

| My fave is Heven Cent because Dolph did a lot of shape shifting and he falls in love with Nada.

Every time I think I've decided which Xanth book is my favorite I change my mind, lol. Instead of picking a favorite I'll just give a list of 5 of my favorites in no particular order (even that's hard). Crewel Lye, Night Mare, Castle Roogna, Demons Don't Dream, A Spell For Chameleon.

oh, I also don't think I could pick just one...my top 5 are probably Geis of the Gargoyle (which is the first one I read ), Man From Mundania, The Dastard, Yon Ill Wind, and Castle Roogna...although I also really really like Xone of Contention and Crewel Lye...it's just too hard to pick favorites!!

Isnt it so that you usually like the first one the most? After all, the rest of them sort of sprouted from it, so I guess its natural. And nostalgia starts to take effect too, pretty soon
